SHAVING DIRECTIONS:
PREPARE: Give your stubble a good wash and soak. Wet stubble is so much easier to cut, which means less tug and pull, less irritation and more comfort so shave during (or straight after) a warm bath or shower. Cleanse face first with quality face wash or gentle exfoliating scrub.
Work 2–3 drops of Shave Oil thoroughly into your beard, to ensure even coverage and to lift the stubble away from the skin. Pay particular attention to anywhere you get any shaving rash, remembering the bit of the shave prep that does all the work during your shave is the thin film-like barrier between your skin and the blade.
SHAVE: Using a clean sharp blade, shave carefully in the direction of hair growth taking care around the sensitive neck area. Take it slow and steady, rinsing the razor frequently to prevent clogging and to ensure you get the most bristles in a single pass. For heavy stubble or several days’ growth focus on short strokes and thorough rinsing. Shaving with the grain, in the direction hair grows, will reduce the tug and pull and lessen the chance of irritation. If closeness is a problem, re-apply Oil and then shave across the grain (XTG) in a second pass.
Tip: Only a few missed bristles separate a good shave from a great shave. Use your finger tips to feel for any missed bristles before you finish and rinse.
PROTECT: After shaving, thoroughly rinse off with cool clean water as this helps close up the skin’s pores. Pat dry and protect skin immediately with a moisturiser or balm.
Combo: If you prefer to shave with lather / foam on your face you can still get all the benefits of our Shave Oil by using it underneath a shaving gel or foam. Thoroughly wet your face with warm or hot water and apply a 2–3 drops of Shave Oil and massage in. Then apply shaving gel or foam on top and shave carefully using short strokes in the direction of hair growth taking extra care around the neck area. Afterwards thoroughly rinse off the shaving gel or foam, pat face dry and moisturise.
Wet Electric: After cleansing, massage in 1–2 drops of Shave Oil and shave as normal.
Dry Electric: Massage 1–2 drops of Oil onto clean dry skin. Wait 30 seconds, then shave as normal.
Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children.
Our Shave Oil also works as a highly effective conditioning Beard Oil. It helps prevent any unwanted itching or scratchy feeling and leaves your beard with a healthy shine.
Apply to a clean and towel dried beard. As a rule of thumb for a small beard you will need 1–2 drops of Oil, a medium beard 3-5 drops, and a big beard 6+. Don’t use too much, better to start with less, you can easily add more.
Squeeze Oil into your palms and then massage into beard, starting at the top and working down (with the grain), then working up from the bottom (against the grain) using your fingers like a large comb. Finish off by combing through holding the comb at 90 degrees to your beard so it fully penetrates the beard, not just the top layer. For more shine add a little more Oil.

Nothing like it

For me, the best solution for a great shave and I haven`t looked for an alternative (if there is one).. Ran out recently and hated going back to gels, great for travel and airport security as well.

Been using this product for years. Tried them all but nothing comes close to this for a smooth, non irritating shave. It is the best and very cost effective.

My stubble is hard to shave closely without grazing. King of Shaves Oil is brilliant because it needs so little to achieve so much. The blade shaves as if it is new every time and leaves a smooth skin which lasts the day.
I need very little foam each time. In the last twelve months, I have used only five blades.

Leaves my beard looking and feeling like it has been shaved with an electric razor, i.e. doesn't shave as close as blade and foam/gel would. OK for travelers due to size; otherwise stick to the tried-and-true.

Works well as a base for shaving gel or on its own. Gives excellent slippage and the blades don't clog. Not had razor burn since I started using it 2 years ago

Using this oil to shave with leaves my face feeling fresh and moisturised. The only problem I have is that it takes more than one or two drops of oil to sufficiently cover my face for a smooth shave. This means I will need to purchase more sooner than advertised on the bottle.

After returning to shaving for the first time in 15 years, I was struggling to find a decent shaving cream that wouldnt cause me face irritation.
After trying a number of different products I tried the KOS Sensitive oil. It is compeltely different to using a traditional foam.
It is easy and clean to apply, and you don't need a heck of a lot of it. No mess whatsoever.
I found it to assist greatly in aiding a smooth stroke, and being clear, it was simple to see what you are doing, which comes in handy for shaping your burns, goatees etc.
Best of all, I didn't get the razor burn that I did with standard foams.
I would highly recommend this product.
